Lemon Cake


This is the lemon cake you make when you want to dazzle. 3 Layer Cake Based on the signature Vanilla Cake recipe loved by readers around the world, with magical, delicate lemon frosting that isn’t too sweet.


Ingredients :

° 150 grams powdered sugar

° 4 tablespoons lemon juice


To prepare the lemon cream:

° 3 lemons

° 150 grams of sugar

° 1 tablespoon cornstarch

° 3 eggs

° 30 grams butter


+For cake:

° 200 g flour

° 1⁄2 bag of baking powder

° 25 grams of cornstarch

° 150 grams of sugar

° 20 cl of milk

° 2 tablespoons lemon

° 4 tablespoons lemon juice

° 150 gm soft butter

° 3 eggs


Preparation:

cake: The second Preheaat oven 180 ° C (thermostat 6).

Step 3:If you are using a pastry circle (the most practical), place a sheet of baking paper on the baking tray and go around the circle with another (which makes a “fringe” downwards).

Step 4: Mix flour, baking powder and cornstarch.

Step 5: Mix the sugar with the butter until it turns into a cream. Adding eggs one at a time, beat well every time. Adding flour mix & milk alternately.

Step 6: Add the zest (grated until really fine) and lemon juice.

Step 7: Pour into circle and cook for 25 minutes (until knife blade comes out clean).

Step 8: to calm down.

Step 9: Lemon Curd (Lemon Curd):

step 10: Wash the lemon and grate the peel of one and a half lemons. Put the peel and juice of 3 lemons in a saucepan.

Step 11: Pour sugar and cornstarch, stir and heat over low heat. Beat the eggs separately, then pour the butter into the skillet. Blend until thick (but not too much or you’ll get bits of egg white, ugly but unobtrusive).

Step 12: icing:

Step 13: Mix sifted sugar with 4 tablespoons of lemon juice until you get a thick, “silky” mixture.

Step 14: Add lemon juice (or sugar) to get the desired consistency (very liquid, works and is transparent but very thick and hard to spread).

step 15: Final assembly:

Step 16: Cut the cake in half (with a knife with a long blade so as not to cause a massacre).

step 17: Spread the lemon curd in the middle (you can serve the extra on the side if you have any, or cover it with it if you don’t have time to make the icing).

step 18: Replace the top half and pour over the garnish. Decorate as desired.
